Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary
- Serve as a vital member of the Heart and Vascular Institute’s cardiology team
- Provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care
- Participate in hospital rounding, cardiac consultations, and ongoing patient management in the clinic
- Engage in professional development and leadership initiatives
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient histories and physical examinations
- Provide direct patient care in the outpatient clinic setting, Monday through Friday during standard clinic hours
- Perform hospital rounding and participate in inpatient consultations as needed
- Develop and implement patient management plans in collaboration with the cardiology team
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures relevant to cardiology
- Educate patients and their families regarding cardiovascular diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in monthly team meetings with physician and administrative leadership to discuss clinical initiatives and continuous improvement
- Engage with wellness and professional development programs to support personal and team growth

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Certification as an NP or PA, with specialization or significant experience in cardiology preferred
- Strong clinical skills in both inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical competencies
