Cardiology Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are responsible for performing comprehensive patient evaluations, developing and executing treatment plans, and providing critical therapeutic interventions. Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and evaluations for in-patient and out-patient populations
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans for patients with acute and chronic heart failure
- Manage mechanical circulatory support devices and implantable continuous pulmonary artery pressure monitoring systems
- Initiate and monitor therapeutic interventions, including medication management and advanced cardiac procedures as permitted by scope of practice
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications for optimal cardiac health
- Prepare thorough patient documentation, including discharge summaries and ongoing progress notes
- Collaborate with supervising physicians, office managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth of the cardiac program

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and certification in good standing
- Previous in-patient experience in a cardiac or acute care setting
- Multiple years of advanced heart failure disease management and experience managing both acute and chronic heart failure patients
- 2–3 years of experience with mechanical circulatory support systems
- 2–3 years of experience in implantable continuous pulmonary artery pressure monitoring
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth
