The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for coordinating and providing specialized cardiac care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role requires advanced clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) ensures the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients in an outpatient cardiology setting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations to support accurate diagnosis and inform treatment planning for patients with cardiovascular needs.
- Manage patient medications, ensuring precision and adherence to best practices for cardiovascular care.
- Interpret laboratory results, diagnostic studies, and other relevant clinical data to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Document progress notes and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with licensed physicians and multidisciplinary team members to evaluate, diagnose, and treat cardiac patients.
- Oversee and coordinate patient care, ensuring continuity and quality across all aspects of treatment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master of Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses in good standing.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or eligibility for certification.
- Current DEA license and Furnishing Number, or eligibility to obtain.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an acute hospital or cardiology setting.
- At least two years of acute nursing experience.
- Prior experience in cardiology is strongly preferred.
