Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Summary
As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP), you play a pivotal role in providing outpatient cardiac care, utilizing your advanced training and clinical acumen to diagnose, treat, and manage various cardiovascular conditions. You will work with a diverse patient population, leveraging your expertise in heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmia management, while contributing to the ongoing success of an established cardiology practice. Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular concerns, documenting detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of cardiac conditions, including but not limited to heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare team members.
- Educate patients and families about heart health, disease prevention, medications, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal cardiovascular outcomes.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests related to cardiac care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring continuity of care in the outpatient setting.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices in cardiology care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), or in the process of obtaining licensure in Oregon.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with specialty certification.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of prior experience in a cardiology setting, preferably with exposure to both outpatient and inpatient environments.
- Strong clinical skills in the management of cardiovascular conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
