Cardiologist (MD/DO, Cardiology) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care for a diverse patient population in inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department settings
- Evaluate and manage both acute and chronic cardiac conditions
- Conduct and interpret a full range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostics, including EKGs, echocardiograms, Holter monitors, exercise stress tests, and related procedures
- Coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and transitions to higher levels of care as necessary
- Prescribe medications and recommend or coordinate procedural or surgical interventions where appropriate
- Provide expert consultation for critically ill cardiac patients
- Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
- Supervise, mentor, and educate medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with nursing, administrative, and ancillary staff

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology
- Active and unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Current DEA license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
