Cardiac Surgery First Assist NP/PA - Summary- Function as a first assist in cardiac surgical procedures alongside a highly experienced cardiac surgery team
- Engage in the delivery of excellent patient care throughout the perioperative period

- Provide first assist support during cardiac surgical procedures in the operating room
- Demonstrate proficiency in Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH); radial artery harvest skills are preferred, with training available for new employees
- Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient assessments and care coordination
- Manage intraoperative tasks, including hemostasis, tissue handling, and wound closure under the supervision of the attending surgeon
- Engage in call rotation coverage during evenings and weekends as part of the surgical team
- Support surgical documentation and assist in maintaining compliance with clinical protocols
- Ensure all clinical practices adhere to regulatory, hospital, and departmental standards

- Current or eligible PA/NP state license in Missouri
