The assignment is scheduled to begin in October 2025, spanning an initial 13-week period with the possibility of extension based on the evolving needs of the unit and the successful candidate’s performance.
As a Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Locum, you will provide critical nocturnist coverage, working a 7-on/7-off night shift schedule. This role requires a high level of autonomy and clinical expertise, as you will be delivering comprehensive care to patients recovering from complex cardiac and vascular surgeries. Utilizing your advanced clinical judgment, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are essential for this position. Although a North Carolina license is highly preferred, it is not mandatory, allowing for a broader range of qualified candidates to apply.
