Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) - Summary- Provide direct and indirect patient care for cardiac surgical procedures in the operating room setting
- Work collaboratively with surgical, anesthesia, and support teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a leadership role by guiding and supporting OR Technicians and auxiliary staff
- Ensure compliance with hospital, regulatory, and quality standards
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for cardiac and general surgery patients
- Coordinate patient flow and manage the organization of the operating room unit
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a seamless continuum of care
- Direct and mentor OR Technicians and support staff to maintain professional standards
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and unit in-services
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Fulfill mandatory on-call requirements with timely response to facility as required

- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year previous perioperative nursing experience required; pre/post-op experience highly valued
- BLS (AHA) certification required at hire
- ACLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required within 30 days of start date
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) via AORN preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Proven experience in cardiac surgical and perioperative nursing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

- Dependable and responsive for on-call coverage
