Cardiac Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) - Summary- Provide anesthesia care for a range of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures under the supervision of an anesthesiologist
- Participate in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care
- Utilize advanced monitoring techniques and equipment in complex cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Opportunity open to new graduates and experienced CAAs; cardiac experience not required
- Administer general and regional anesthesia for diverse cardiac and thoracic procedures, including heart and lung transplants, VADs, ECMO, CABGs, robotic procedures, conventional and minimally invasive valve surgeries, VATs, and general thoracic surgeries
- Provide anesthesia care for out-of-operating-room procedures such as TAVR, Mitral clip implantation, TEVAR, electrophysiology procedures, TEEs, and cardioversions
- Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Work collaboratively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital standards
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement and patient safety initiatives within the department
