The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, also known as a Cath Lab Tech or RCIS, is an essential member of the heart and vascular care team. Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (Cath Lab Tech, RCIS) - Summary- Full-time contract position in an academic Heart & Vascular Center
- Work alongside nationally recognized cardiologists and healthcare teams

- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide pre- and post-procedure education/support
- Assist physicians during complex cases, including diagnostic caths, angioplasty, stenting, structural heart procedures, and device implants
- Operate and maintain advanced hemodynamic monitoring systems and digital imaging equipment
- Maintain sterile technique and support a range of invasive cardiac procedures
- Ensure accurate charting, documentation, and management of lab inventory and supplies
- Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration within a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment
- Support the lab’s operational effectiveness, including flexibility for on-call, nights, and weekends as needed
- Competitive weekly pay package ($3,400 – $3,900 per week)

- Graduate of an accredited health sciences program (Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Nursing, or related field)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA required)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification highly preferred, often required
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Proficiency in operating cath lab equipment and interpreting hemodynamics
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and participate in on-call rotations
- Experienced Cath Lab Tech or RCIS with a strong clinical background in interventional cardiology
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain composure in critical situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in multidisciplinary settings
