Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and cardiovascular teams to deliver high-quality patient care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Assist with advanced interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures, including high-risk PCI, CTOs, TAVR, M-TEER, T-TEER, LAAO, and management of cardiogenic shock with Impella support.
- Monitor and manage patient hemodynamics, administer vasoactive drips, and interpret complex EKG, ABG, and electrolyte data.
- Manage arterial lines, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), temporary and permanent pacemakers, and advanced IV therapies as required.
- Circulate, scrub, and monitor during procedures, ensuring all protocols and safety measures are strictly followed.
- Participate in a balanced 12-hour shift schedule with light call obligations, typically including one night per week and one weekend every six weeks, with a low callback rate.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused culture where RNs play a pivotal role in supporting complex cardiac interventions and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and dedication to patient care throughout all phases of the cardiac procedure process.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active California RN license, or eligibility for licensure in California.
- Minimum of one year of CVICU or critical care nursing experience.
- At least two years of experience in a cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology lab strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Demonstrated competency in EKG/dysrhythmia recognition and management.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or a Nursing Diploma accepted.
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drip management, EKG, ABG, electrolyte interpretation, IABP, pacemaker management, arterial line management, and advanced IV therapies.
