Cardiac Anesthesiologist - SummaryThis Cardiac Anesthesiologist position focuses on the provision of anesthesia services for both adult and pediatric patients in an inpatient hospital setting. The position is suited for board-certified anesthesiologists with advanced fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia and experience in a trauma level 3 hospital environment. This opportunity includes hands-on experience with a variety of complex surgical procedures, including major vascular, cardiac catheterization, orthopedic, thoracic, and trauma cases. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with patients aged six months and older, and be able to manage both elective and emergent cases.
Duties & Responsibilities- Deliver anesthesia care for elective and trauma-related surgical procedures, including cardiac, major vascular, obstetric, orthopedic, thoracic, and spinal surgeries.
- Administer regional anesthesia and perform peripheral nerve blocks as clinically indicated.
- Oversee anesthesia management in the Cardiac Cath Lab and for AAA repairs and other interventional vascular procedures.
- Participate in a rotating call schedule, providing coverage for both clinic and call shifts as assigned.
- Work in collaboration with a team of 11 physicians and one assistant in an inpatient environment, ensuring seamless perioperative patient care.
- Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system to document patient information and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Participate in orientation and credentialing processes, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in continuous professional development activities as required.

- Board Certification in Anesthesiology required.

- Active state medical license in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of two years relevant clinical experience in cardiac and trauma anesthesia.
- Comfort in providing care for patients aged six months and above.
- Ability to commit to required orientation and credentialing timelines.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred.
