Business Development Specialist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of federal market trends and communicate impacts to the business development team and leadership.
- Develop and execute Account Plans and Call Plans aligned with organizational strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic alliances, and partnerships across federal agencies.
- Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry developments to inform growth strategies.
- Prepare high-quality, persuasive government proposal responses, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance requirements.
- Manage the organization’s opportunity pipeline and participate in strategic planning sessions with leadership.
- Engage with client stakeholders to clarify goals and requirements for each opportunity.
- Lead the formal capture and proposal process, including the development of win strategies and proposal reviews.
- Articulate the company’s value proposition to both partners and clients.
- Identify emerging customer needs and adapt strategies to capture new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain corporate communications materials, such as capability presentations and marketing sheets.
- Facilitate executive briefings, gate reviews, and lesson-learned sessions for continuous process improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least six years of experience in business development, procurement, or a related field, or ten years of proven experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and federal proposal processes.
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Permanent US work authorization required.
- Experience with federal health agencies such as HHS, CMS, or VA is highly desirable.
