Business Development Manager
Join Tangelo as a Business Development Manager and play a key role in improving access to nutritious, medically tailored meals for low-income families and individuals with chronic conditions. As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on driving the growth and success of these partnerships through proactive engagement, onboarding, and activation strategies. Working in this full-time position, you will represent Tangelo and foster relationships that expand our reach and impact.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging with key clinical, community-based, and governmental partners, and ensuring seamless onboarding and program activation. You will lead outreach efforts, develop structured engagement strategies, and manage partner relationships from initial contact through to successful activation of referral programs. Your expertise in healthcare, human services, or public health, combined with outstanding communication and organizational skills, will help Tangelo continue to deliver fast, compliant, and impactful services. Business Development Manager - Summary
- Drive growth and engagement with clinical, community, and governmental partners for Tangelo’s healthy food programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner onboarding and program activation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless partner experiences and program delivery
- Represent Tangelo at meetings, events, and community functions
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead strategic partner engagement and growth initiatives
- Identify high-value organizations for partnership opportunities
- Develop and execute structured outreach and onboarding plans
- Manage partner onboarding workflows, including agreement setup, training, and system implementation
- Support activation and lead generation efforts to ensure partners refer patients or members into Tangelo programs
- Represent Tangelo at regional meetings, events, and partner convenings
- Maintain strong visibility and positive relationships within the community
- Collaborate with Operations, Product, and Marketing teams to support program implementation
- Track KPIs related to outreach, onboarding, and activation to refine approach and increase impact

Qualifications & Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in partnerships, growth, or community engagement, ideally in healthcare, human services, or public health
- Strong knowledge of local health and social service infrastructure
- Proven experience driving complex partner onboarding and engagement efforts
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across various organizational levels
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience using data to track progress and improve performance
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
