Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and build relationships with key partners, developers, owners, and organizations to generate new project opportunities
- Qualify potential leads and assist in Go/No-Go decisions for project pursuits
- Develop and implement long-term client account strategies to strengthen relationships and increase repeat business
- Maintain detailed tracking of leads, opportunities, and client interactions to support pipeline development
- Collaborate with estimating, marketing, preconstruction, and proposal teams to support pursuit strategies
- Participate in proposal planning sessions, interview preparation, and pursuit strategy development
- Ensure accurate documentation of pursuits and activities within the CRM system
- Conduct research on emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and potential clients
- Analyze wins, losses, and pipeline data to provide strategic insights
- Represent the organization within the community and industry associations to enhance market presence
- Build and maintain relationships with executive-level stakeholders
- Participate in leadership roles within key organizations for industry visibility

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of business development experience, preferably within construction or commercial real estate industries
- Demonstrated success developing and maintaining relationships with private commercial clients
- Proven ability to generate new opportunities and convert leads into active projects
- Experience collaborating with leadership teams to manage a strong project pipeline
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction industry and market dynamics
- Familiarity with development schedules, budgeting, value engineering, and delivery methods such as design-build
- Knowledge of standard construction contract structures and project lifecycle processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and CRM platforms
- Experience with construction and project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
