Business Analyst - Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating and documenting complex business systems and user needs to drive continuous process improvement. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring that IT solutions align closely with organizational goals, with a strong focus on compliance and quality assurance standards, particularly within the context of federal programs and agile methodology. Working collaboratively, the Business Analyst will support system design, implementation, and testing, ensuring that solutions deliver value and meet end user expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user requirements to document complex system needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation to communicate business requirements, support effective system design, and uphold high quality standards.
- Create detailed test plans and collaborate with end users to facilitate user acceptance testing, validating both new and existing system functionalities.
- Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, providing consultation, documentation, and direction on system analysis, design, configuration, testing, and policy implementation.
- Reengineer current system processes and identify innovative applications of technology to address evolving business needs.
- Support project life cycles by ensuring documentation and testing meet regulatory and organizational requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or closely related role.
- At least 5 years of experience working with agile methodologies and user story analysis, serving as a liaison between business and IT teams.
- 1 or more years of experience with the Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS).
- At least 1 year of experience writing system requirements in compliance with federal child nutrition programs under the Texas Department of Agriculture.
- Experience with on-site work in Austin, TX.
