Building Automation Technician - Summary

- Troubleshoot, analyze, test, adjust, and repair building automation and control systems
- Integrate and maintain low voltage building subsystems using protocols such as LON and BacNet
- Support owner and user training for system operation and troubleshooting
- Document inspection and service findings, communicating them clearly to customers and coworkers
- Mentor junior integration specialists as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of seven years' experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems
- Knowledge of construction, HVAC industry, control theory, and building automation systems
- Experience with automatic temperature controls, fire alarms, and building subsystems
- Familiarity with industry protocols like LON and BacNet
- Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to obtain 10-hour OSHA certification (30-hour OSHA preferred)
