Building Automation Project Manager (BAS, PMP) - Summary
- Lead and manage complex building automation and infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- Ensure alignment with customer requirements, technical specifications, and organizational goals
- Drive continuous improvement and risk management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated solutions
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of building automation controls projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion
- Define and manage project scope, deliverables, and schedules in alignment with client objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating with engineering, operations, and subcontractors
- Implement strict adherence to safety standards and legal compliance throughout project execution
- Monitor and control project budgets, costs, labor, and billing, utilizing advanced financial forecasting tools
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders to address project risks and proactively resolve issues
- Utilize project management software (e.g., Sage Intacct, MS Project, PowerBI) for tracking progress and reporting
- Negotiate change requests and manage contract terms, specifications, and insurance requirements
- Drive process optimization efforts to improve project delivery and customer satisfaction
- Prepare and present progress reports, schedule updates, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree in construction-related field (engineering, architecture) or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certifications such as PMP, CEM, LEED AP, EIT, or PE are advantageous
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project management for construction or building infrastructure projects
- Experience with building automation systems and/or energy reduction initiatives is required
- 10-hour OSHA certification required; 30-hour OSHA certification is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office suite and expert in project management software (Sage Intacct, MS Project, PowerBI)
- Advanced knowledge of industry codes, standards, health and safety regulations, and construction contracts
- Demonstrated financial competence in budgeting, forecasting, and project reporting
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
