Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop building automation solutions
- Design and implement control sequences for HVAC and building systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance
- Document programming logic, workflows, and system configurations
- Participate in project meetings and communicate technical information effectively
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and best practices
- Support commissioning, testing, and validation of new installations

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related applied engineering/technical field
- Equivalent hands-on experience in building automation or controls programming may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience in robotics, PLCs, machining, or software, or three years of experience in graphic design
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and controls
- Experience with programming or scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions under supervision

Other Relevant Information
- Preferred qualifications include one year of experience as an HVAC controls technician or programmer
- Familiarity with platforms such as Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operation, I/A Series, Andover Continuum, and/or Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4
- Building Automation Protocol knowledge (LON, BACnet, Modbus) is an asset
- EcoStruxure Building Operation Certification is a plus but not required
