The Building Automation Integration Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring complex building control systems are configured, tested, and commissioned to meet contract specifications. This position is responsible for the development, integration, and validation of building automation systems (BAS), leveraging expertise in software programming, controller commissioning, and system troubleshooting. The role also requires close collaboration with project management and engineering teams to guarantee the successful delivery of high-performing, energy-efficient building environments. Candidates with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering, familiarity with building automation protocols such as LON and BacNet, and experience with systems from leading manufacturers including Schneider Electric, SmartStruxure, Space Logic, I/A, Andover Continuum, and Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4, will excel in this position.
As a Building Automation Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the configuration and testing of advanced building control systems, ensuring their operation aligns with project requirements and industry standards. Your technical acumen in developing and validating software programs for controllers is vital to achieving seamless system integration at both the system and network levels. You will play an essential role in validating system functionality through comprehensive testing and troubleshooting, optimizing system performance for efficiency, reliability, and user satisfaction.
In this role, you will also create and maintain as-built documentation, reflecting all modifications and final system configurations. You will provide targeted training to building owners and operators, empowering them to operate and maintain their building automation systems effectively. - Configure, program, and test building control systems according to contract specifications.
- Develop and validate software for controllers at both system and network levels.
- Commission controllers, integrating them seamlessly into building automation networks.
- Perform system functionality checks, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate closely with project management and engineering teams throughout project phases.
- Create and update as-built documentation, including drawings and software revisions.
- Deliver tailored training sessions to owners and operators on complete building control systems.
- Communicate inspection and service results with customers and team members.
- Integrate low voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols such as LON and BacNet.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent field required.
- Minimum one year of experience with building automation controls systems, especially with platforms such as Schneider Electric, SmartStruxure, Space Logic, I/A, Andover Continuum, and/or Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4.
- At least two years of experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with control theory, automatic temperature controls, and other building systems.
- Experience integrating low voltage building sub-systems using standard industry protocols (LON, BacNet, etc.).
- Basic networking knowledge to support system integration.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
