The role of a BSA/AML Analyst is essential in ensuring that financial institutions comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. As a BSA/AML Analyst, you will play a key part in safeguarding the financial system, conducting compliance investigations, and reporting regulatory findings. In this BSA/AML Analyst position, you will be responsible for investigating suspicious activities related to both new and existing accounts. Your duties will include triaging alerts, conducting in-depth investigations, and preparing reports in accordance with BSA/AML regulatory requirements. The BSA/AML Analyst will also be responsible for executing Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) screenings, performing 314(a) checks, and reviewing member accounts to identify and mitigate potential risks. These responsibilities require a detail-oriented individual who is committed to maintaining the integrity of financial operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

As a BSA/AML Analyst, you will be expected to collaborate with team members and various internal departments to strengthen fraud detection and prevention strategies. Your analytical skills and understanding of financial compliance will be instrumental in preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. The successful BSA/AML Analyst candidate will possess a high school diploma, with an associate degree in finance, accounting, or business considered a plus. You should bring at least three years of direct experience in BSA and/or fraud investigations, along with a solid understanding of fraud and money laundering typologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—is required, as is comfort with email and internet research. A foundational knowledge of regulatory compliance, investigative methodologies, and reporting practices is also necessary for success in this role.
