We are seeking a dedicated Breast Surgeon to join our established healthcare team on a locum tenens basis. The successful Breast Surgeon candidate should be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery with specialized fellowship training in Breast Surgery. Licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) or Illinois licensure is required. The position will involve an average patient census of approximately 15, with a structured weekly schedule that includes time in the operating room as well as clinic responsibilities. On-call duties are included as part of the comprehensive surgical care provided to our patients. The program is designed to allow for work-life balance, with Fridays generally reserved for increased volume as needed.
Breast Surgeons in this role will be responsible for a range of procedures, including the diagnosis and surgical treatment of benign and malignant breast conditions. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, and other allied health professionals to create and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. The position emphasizes a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to breast care, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
