Breast Radiologist (Mammo) | Radiology Physician - Summary- Specialized physician role focused on breast imaging (mammography)
- Located in a hospital setting, covering multiple facilities
- Position is available on an ongoing basis, with start as soon as credentialing is completed
- Credentialing period estimated at 60 to 90 days, with temporary privileges for qualified candidates
- Emphasis on high-quality patient care and utilization of advanced imaging technology
- Interpret and report on all mammography imaging, including screening and diagnostic studies
- Perform a comprehensive range of breast imaging procedures and interventions
- Provide clinical expertise in the interpretation of diagnostic imaging for breast health
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and follow-up
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using electronic medical record (EMR) and dictation software (Fluency)
- Meet or exceed departmental volume expectations, averaging approximately 70 RVUs per shift
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices in radiology
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements for mammography

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certification in Radiology with a breast imaging/mammography specialty
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting breast imaging studies and performing related procedures
- Experience with EMR systems and dictation software (Fluency preferred)
- Ability to function effectively in a hospital setting, working across multiple facilities as needed
- Willingness to work three to five days per week, from 8 am to 5 pm
- Successful completion of credentialing process (60 to 90 days; temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean background)
- Board-certified radiologist with specialized experience in breast imaging and mammography
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail in image interpretation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining quality standards
- Adaptability to hospital workflows and multi-facility coverage
