Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster Job OverviewARC Group is seeking a skilled Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster for a remote, full-time opportunity with a reputable insurance underwriter. This position focuses on investigating, evaluating, and negotiating bodily injury claims, adhering to legal standards and company policies. The role involves close coordination with legal counsel to ensure proper defense and resolution of claims. This position offers candidates the ability to work remotely, with a preference for those on the East Coast, particularly in Florida. Responsibilities- Investigate bodily injury claims by gathering information from agents, witnesses, and claimants through correspondence and interviews.
- Obtain detailed statements from all parties involved in each claim.
- Evaluate and approve payment of claims within authorized monetary limits, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
- Negotiate and settle claims, including property losses, with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as underwriters and claims specialists to achieve efficient claims resolution.
- Work closely with legal counsel to ensure cases are managed properly and in compliance with legal standards.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders in a fair and cost-effective manner.
- Prepare thorough documentation of claim investigations, legal actions, and settlement agreements.
- Provide regular reports to management on claim statuses, legal updates, and financial implications.
- Ensure all claims activities comply with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and industry trends related to commercial auto insurance and bodily injury claims.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bodily injury insurance claims, investigations, or related areas such as liability, property damage, and commercial auto (preferred).
- Proven experience in conflict resolution and strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
