Bilingual Receptionist
Our organization is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Receptionist for a part-time, temporary position supporting a non-profit community resource organization in Lancaster, PA. As a Bilingual Receptionist, you will utilize your proficiency in both Spanish and English to ensure clear communication and exceptional service for all guests, clients, and team members in a diverse community environment. Responsibilities
- Professionally answer, screen, and forward incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries in both Spanish and English.
- Take detailed messages for personnel and deliver them in an efficient, reliable manner to support seamless internal communication.
- Respond to general questions about the organization, including providing accurate contact information and guiding callers to appropriate resources.
- Greet guests in a welcoming, professional, and hospitable manner, making all visitors feel comfortable and valued.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail daily, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all correspondence processes.
- Perform a range of clerical duties, such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and collating documents to support office operations.
- Monitor and refill breakroom supplies as necessary, ensuring that shared spaces remain organized and well-stocked.
- Support the broader administrative team by completing other duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least one year of front desk or receptionist experience, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in an office environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential for effective communication with a diverse community.
- Strong phone etiquette and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and relay information clearly and courteously.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Word is required; familiarity with MS Excel is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated punctuality and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer- and client-focused approach, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Friendly and professional demeanor, maintaining a positive appearance and attitude in all interactions.
Additional Requirements
- All candidates must obtain clean FBI, Child Abuse, and PA State Police clearances prior to starting employment.
