Bilingual Insurance Sales Representative Job OverviewJim Paterson - State Farm Agency is seeking a motivated and energetic Bilingual Insurance Sales Representative to join our team on a full-time basis in Mineola, NY. This key position requires proficiency in both Portuguese and English, enabling you to effectively communicate with a diverse client base. While prior insurance experience is not required, we provide comprehensive training to individuals who demonstrate the right personality, motivation, and skill set.
Responsibilities- Develop new business by generating leads, scheduling appointments, and identifying customer insurance needs.
- Market appropriate insurance products and services to prospective and existing clients.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through regular follow-ups and consistent communication.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage details, policy changes, transfers, claims, and billing questions.
- Support customers through value-based conversations that emphasize State Farm’s commitment to excellent service and protection.
- Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and English is required to best serve our client base.
- Preferred experience in sales, whether in insurance, retail, telemarketing, or other customer-facing roles.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong multitasking abilities with a focus on organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to build positive relationships and relate effectively to customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness and ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses if not already held.
