Bilingual Customer Service Representative - Summary
The Bilingual Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to clients by handling inquiries, assisting with policy changes, processing claims, and ensuring all customer interactions are conducted with professionalism and empathy. This role requires fluency in both English and Spanish, and the ability to secure necessary insurance licenses. You will contribute to the agency’s mission of helping people manage risks and recover from the unexpected, while working collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries in both English and Spanish, providing clear, empathetic, and professional communication at all times.
- Assist policyholders with changes to their insurance policies, including billing questions and coverage updates.
- Process and follow up on insurance claims to support customers throughout the claims experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve complex customer issues efficiently.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development opportunities to stay current on insurance products and best practices.
- Uphold the agency’s standards for professionalism, confidentiality, and customer focus in every aspect of your work.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for effective communication with a diverse customer base.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Property and Casualty insurance license.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Life and Health insurance license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service or insurance industry experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to commute to the office in Cedar Rapids, IA for on-site work.
