Bicycle Assembly Technician - Summary
- Responsible for assembling bicycles and other retail products according to manufacturer guidelines
- Ensures all products are safely and correctly assembled to support optimal sales in a retail setting
- Receives thorough training and ongoing support as part of a specialized assembly team
- Works on a performance-based compensation model with eligibility for benefits upon meeting requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble a wide range of bicycles and related products with precision and attention to safety
- Prepare retail spaces by ensuring all assembled products are ready for customer purchase
- Follow company protocols for product assembly, quality checks, and workplace safety
- Use your own set of professional-grade bicycle tools to perform all assembly work
- Check in with supervisors or clients as required before 8am each workday
- Complete invoicing and documentation using a smartphone with a working camera
- Adhere to assigned schedules, which may include early mornings and late afternoons
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the retail environment
Salary & Benefits
- W2 employee position with a flat commission rate of 51% per item assembled
- Eligibility for company health benefits after 6 months of employment (minimum average 30 hours per week)
- Paid time off (PTO) available after 4 months if hours requirements are met
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous bicycle assembly experience required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift over 25 lbs safely and repeatedly
- Ability to pass background and MVR checks
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required
- Reliable transportation to and from retail locations
- Ability to check in before 8am as scheduled
- Smartphone with working camera for essential job functions
- Personal set of bicycle assembly tools, including: 3/8 drive Allen (hex) sockets/keys, torque wrench, pedal wrench, diagonal cutting pliers, screwdrivers, bike stand, air compressor, floor pump, tire pressure gauge (or equivalent)

- Hours may vary depending on client needs, ranging from early mornings (as early as 6am) to evenings (up to 7pm), Monday through Friday
