The Bicycle Assembly Technician plays a key role in supporting retail operations by assembling bicycles and related products accurately and efficiently. As a Bicycle Assembly Technician, you will receive comprehensive training on assembling a variety of products, with a primary focus on bicycles. Your work will directly impact the customer experience, as you will be responsible for preparing each location for optimal sales performance by ensuring all products are assembled safely, accurately, and on time. The role also involves collaborating with store teams to organize and prioritize assembly tasks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and using your technical knowledge to troubleshoot any assembly-related issues.

The ideal candidate for the Bicycle Assembly Technician position possesses previous experience in bicycle assembly or a related mechanical field. You must have the ability to safely lift at least 25 pounds and demonstrate a thorough understanding of bicycle tools and assembly equipment. Additionally, you must be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check, hold a valid driver's license, and provide proof of auto insurance. Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential, as the position requires early check-in and variable hours depending on the needs of retail clients. A smartphone with a working camera is required for invoicing and documentation purposes.

To excel in the Bicycle Assembly Technician role, candidates must bring their own tools, including but not limited to: 3/8 Drive Allen (hex) sockets/keys, torque wrench, pedal wrench, diagonal cutting pliers, screwdrivers, bike stand, air compressor, floor pump, and tire pressure gauge. Having these tools ensures you can begin work immediately and maintain a consistent assembly workflow. The position is performance-based, offering a competitive commission structure and the opportunity to earn benefits after a qualifying period. Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as shifts may begin as early as 6am and end as late as 7pm, Monday through Friday, depending on client requirements.
