Working as a Bicycle Assembly Technician offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic retail support team. Bicycle Assembly Technicians receive ongoing training to stay current with assembly techniques and product specifications. The role requires the use of specialized tools, and you will be expected to maintain your own toolset, including essential items such as Allen (hex) sockets, torque wrenches, pedal wrenches, and more. You will also utilize a smartphone for invoicing and reporting, ensuring efficient communication and documentation.

Bicycle Assembly Technician - Summary- Responsible for assembling bicycles and related products at retail client locations
- Receives ongoing training to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
- Works with a variety of bicycle types and models
- Utilizes personal tools and technology for assembly and reporting
- Contributes to optimal sales performance by preparing ready-to-sell products
- Assemble bicycles and related products in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Ensure all products are safe, functional, and ready for customer use
- Perform quality checks and address any assembly issues promptly
- Use personal tools, including Allen sockets, torque wrenches, pedal wrenches, and more
- Prepare and organize each retail location for daily operations
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Utilize a smartphone for invoicing and documentation
- Comply with all safety protocols and company guidelines
- W2 (employee) position with performance-based compensation
- Flat commission rate of 51% per item assembled
- Opportunity for company health benefits after 6 months (eligibility requirements apply)
- Paid Time Off (PTO) available after 4 months with average of 30 hours per week
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to check in before 8am
- Smartphone with working camera for invoicing
- Own set of bicycle assembly tools (including Allen sockets, torque wrench, pedal wrench, diagonal cutting pliers, screwdrivers, bike stand, air compressor, floor pump, tire pressure gauge, or equivalent)
- Ability to pass background and MVR checks
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and reliable individual
- Previous experience in bicycle assembly strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable to varying work schedules and retail environments
- Comfortable working independently and with minimal supervision
- Hours may vary depending on client needs, with potential for early starts or late finishes (Monday through Friday)
