As an Azure Database Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive data solutions using the Microsoft BI stack and Azure Data Platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize databases, reporting tools, and analytics platforms that empower data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
Azure Database Administrator - Summary
- Manage and maintain cloud-based and hybrid databases within the Microsoft Azure environment.
- Utilize SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to develop and support business intelligence solutions.
- Work closely with technical and business teams to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
- Drive continuous improvement of data warehousing, modeling, and analytics processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leverage advanced T-SQL and DAX skills to design, implement, and tune complex queries and stored procedures for optimal database performance.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI stack, including SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
- Administer Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse platforms, managing data integration, transformation, and workflow orchestration.
- Collaborate on Tableau Server administration, including dashboard creation, data source management, and troubleshooting.
- Apply expertise in data warehouse processes, including star and snowflake schema modeling, to support robust analytics and reporting.
- Conduct data mapping, modeling, analysis, and profiling to ensure high data quality and reliability.
- Participate in performance tuning, security management, and data governance initiatives across the database environment.
- Contribute to team-oriented projects, knowledge sharing, and process optimization efforts.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence (BI), and/or ETL development.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Platforms, particularly Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL development, data mapping, and data modeling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft BI tools: SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
- Experience with Tableau Server administration and dashboard creation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, tabular modeling, and data visualization best practices.
