Automotive Technician (ASE Certified Technician) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, and HVAC
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections with attention to detail and accuracy
- Consult with customers and service advisors to explain diagnoses, recommend repairs, and provide exceptional, transparent service
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation of work performed and parts utilized
- Collaborate with team members to uphold a respectful, communicative, and supportive workplace
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Utilize provided tools and resources to maximize efficiency and quality of repairs
- Stay current with industry best practices and participate in training opportunities as required

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician, with levels ranging from entry-level (Tire Tech/C Level, 6 months-2 years), mid-level (B Level, 2-7 years), to advanced (A Level, 7-10+ years)
- ASE certifications preferred but not required for all positions
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with automotive repair tools, diagnostic equipment, and technology
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
- Comfortable working with vehicles on lifts and in tight spaces as needed
- Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools efficiently
- Capability to walk or stand for extended periods during the workday
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Computer literacy for service documentation and diagnostics
