Automotive Software Quality Engineer - Summary
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and validate software communication issues within vehicle electronic systems, focusing on infotainment and ADAS modules.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to coordinate the testing of Engineering Orders (EO) and Model Changes (MC) across departments.
- Leverage diagnostic tools and industry protocols to ensure high-quality and reliable vehicle software integration.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and analyze software communication issues between electronic modules (e.g., CANBUS, infotainment) in new-release vehicles.
- Coordinate Engineering Order and Model Change testing activities with multiple departments to ensure thorough validation.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as INCA and CAN analyzers to capture system data, monitor behavior, and evaluate software interactions.
- Identify, document, and report interface issues between supplier-developed modules to relevant stakeholders for resolution.
- Support software investigations, benchmarking, and technical evaluations for new vehicle models.
- Prepare and present technical reports that highlight findings, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate countermeasures to enhance system performance.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive software troubleshooting or quality engineering preferred.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot C and C++ code effectively.
- Familiarity with automotive communication systems, particularly CANBUS, and vehicle module diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools such as INCA, CAN analyzers, or equivalent platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for creating reports and presentations.
- Understanding of infotainment or ADAS system architecture is considered a plus.
