As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal uptime, efficiency, and reliability of automated systems and auxiliary equipment in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting. Automation Maintenance Technician - Summary
- Support high-performance automation and control systems in a fast-moving, technology-driven industrial environment.
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency by executing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to address technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-related problems.
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records in compliance with internal and industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automation and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Support and maintain electrical systems, including both low and high voltage components.
- Expertly troubleshoot PLC-controlled, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct equipment inspections to uphold reliability and maximize uptime.
- Respond promptly to operational calls and provide timely technical support to onsite teams.
- Communicate effectively with logistics and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive service reports, downtime documentation, and maintenance logs.
- Update internal maintenance procedures and ensure all documentation is current and accurate.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, preventative maintenance, and service records.
- Analyze downtime and performance data to propose and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot equipment and optimize performance.
- Participate in ongoing training for warehouse management systems (WMS), automation platforms, and relevant technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 2-year degree in Mechatronics or a related technical field preferred; OR a minimum of 4 years of electrical/electro-mechanical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with 480V electrical systems.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems and automation control logic.
- Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in using multimeters and electrical diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of safe electrical practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), de-energizing, and arc flash awareness.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) functions such as receiving, picking, and replenishment is a plus.
- Experience with automated material handling or warehouse systems is an advantage.
