As an Athletic Trainer (ATC), you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive athletic training services. You will play a key part by preventing, evaluating, and treating injuries, collaborating with medical staff, and ensuring effective rehabilitation and performance optimization. The position also involves maintaining accurate medical records, overseeing facility operations, and supporting mission readiness through injury prevention programs and physical training supervision. Your expertise will help optimize the health of those who serve and protect our nation and their families.

Athletic Trainer (ATC) - Summary
- Full-time Athletic Trainer (ATC) position focused on prevention, evaluation, and treatment of injuries.

- Maintain medical documentation and oversee facility operations to promote a safe, efficient environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Apply protective or injury preventive devices such as tape, bandages, or braces to body parts (e.g., ankles, fingers, wrists).
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for injuries.
- Advise athletes and students on the proper use of equipment and injury prevention techniques.
- Plan and implement comprehensive injury and illness prevention programs.
- Supervise and conduct physical training programs, taking into account individual injuries and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop training programs and routines that improve student performance and promote recovery.
- Provide daily care for medical issues and coordinate with military and contractor personnel as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of training and medical facilities, including equipment.
- Organize and enforce rules of conduct for the training room facility.
- Recommend changes or updates to athletic training supplies and equipment.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all injuries, treatments, rehabilitation, and medical releases.
- Regularly inform leadership of injured students and report on treatments and activities.
- Travel may be required to support training or observe events and ensure mission accomplishment.
- Perform duties in a variety of operational environments, requiring agility and strength.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant sports or medical science field.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) or NATA certification required.
- State licensure as required (e.g., Texas license for applicable positions).
- At least two years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer at the collegiate level or higher.
- Within 120 days of hire, must obtain and maintain one of the following (if not already held): NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or higher; EXOS Performance Specialist or higher; NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES); ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist (HFS).
- Within 4 months of hire, must obtain certification in Functional Movement Screening (FMS), Graston Techniques or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilizations, Kinesio Taping Practitioner, and Astym therapy (if not already qualified).
- U.S. Citizenship required.

Other Relevant Information
- Work may require non-standard schedules, extended hours, or rotating shifts, but will not exceed contracted hours.
- Physical requirements include walking over rough terrain, lifting up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs.), and demonstrating various exercise procedures.
- Ability to navigate and operate in challenging environments and variable weather conditions.
