Associate Veterinarian (DVM) Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian (DVM) for a full-time position in Chandler, AZ. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will play a key role in providing high-quality veterinary care, working closely with pet owners to ensure the health and well-being of their pets. This full-time opportunity offers a collaborative environment where veterinarians can grow their clinical and surgical skills under the mentorship of an experienced Medical Director. The position is ideal for both experienced professionals and recent veterinary graduates eager to start their careers in a supportive, team-oriented setting.
Responsibilities- Deliver compassionate, effective veterinary care to a variety of patients, ensuring the highest standards of medicine are met.
- Perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans in consultation with clients.
- Educate pet owners on preventative care, nutrition, and at-home health management, fostering strong relationships with clients in the Chandler, AZ community.
- Participate in surgical procedures and be willing to learn new surgical techniques under direct mentorship.
- Work collaboratively with a full staff, including veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and kennel technicians, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment.
- Manage caseloads of 15-20 cases per day, providing thoughtful and thorough care for each patient.
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in compliance with industry standards.
- Engage in continued education and professional development opportunities to stay current in veterinary practices and procedures.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Active Arizona veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
- DEA registration or ability to acquire DEA credentials as required.
- Willingness to perform surgeries and participate in ongoing learning opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client education and team collaboration.
