Associate Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) - Summary
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of primary care providers and nurse practitioners
- Deliver patient-centered, value-based care to a panel of senior patients with complex medical needs
- Participate in organization-wide leadership and professional development programs
- Drive continuous improvement in clinical quality, patient experience, and healthcare outcomes
- Contribute to the growth and success of the organization by supporting operational and financial goals
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily clinical operations of the primary care center, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards
- Supervise and support primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Manage a patient panel of up to 250 senior patients, many of whom present with 3-5 chronic diseases
- Implement value-based care strategies to improve health outcomes and patient satisfaction
- Lead and participate in ongoing training, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations programs, and leadership development pathways
- Monitor and drive center financial performance, operational efficiency, and patient panel growth
- Engage with interdisciplinary consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, to enhance patient care
- Encourage holistic health services for patients, supporting initiatives such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous learning within the clinical team

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
- Active and unrestricted medical license
- At least one year of clinical experience in a primary care, geriatric, or family practice setting
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing clinical teams preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally
- Spanish language skills preferred but not required
