Assistant Property Manager - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations of the apartment community.
- Assist with leasing activities, including greeting prospective residents, conducting property tours, processing applications, preparing lease agreements, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs.
- Supervise and support front desk operations, ensuring timely and professional responses to resident inquiries and resolving service issues efficiently.
- Coordinate maintenance requests, schedule vendors, and oversee unit turns to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met.
- Train, schedule, and oversee onsite team members such as leasing agents, front desk staff, and maintenance personnel, providing guidance and performance feedback as needed.
- Monitor occupancy levels, assist with rent collection and delinquency follow-up, and perform basic accounting tasks such as rent deposits and daily reporting in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records using property management software and prepare regular operational and leasing reports for senior management.
- Enforce property rules and regulations, safety protocols, and appearance standards by conducting property inspections and coordinating corrective actions when necessary.
- Support marketing efforts and resident retention programs, help organize community events, and manage online property listings to drive occupancy and engagement.
- Perform opening and closing duties for the property and serve as the onsite manager in the Property Manager's absence.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in multifamily property management, leasing, hospitality, or retail management preferred.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and comfort with financial reporting and rent collection processes.
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi or RealPage, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, lead a small team, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree or real estate/multifamily certification is preferred.
