Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Construction (APM) Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of commercial construction projects
- Support the Project Manager or VP in daily project operations and coordination
- Participate in the bidding and estimating processes, including quantity take-offs and bid analysis
- Read and interpret blueprints, schedules, specifications, and other construction documents
- Utilize project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure effective communication among stakeholders
- Identify and manage project priorities, assisting in the resolution of issues as they arise
- Coach and support team members in both technical and administrative areas
- Foster a collaborative, positive team environment while managing competing demands

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field
- 2-4 years of construction industry experience, preferably in a Project Engineer or equivalent role
- Experience in bidding processes with subcontractors
- Proficiency in quantity take-off and estimating methods
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Outlook, Procore, and Bluebeam
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and self-motivation skills
