Assistant General Manager (AGM) Job DescriptionThe Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a vital leadership role within our casual dining restaurant, responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations. As an Assistant General Manager (AGM), you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the General Manager to oversee the daily restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of staffing, customer service, food and beverage quality, and financial performance are consistently met.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training restaurant staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that motivates team members to achieve their best.
- Monitor and uphold strict standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation throughout the restaurant, ensuring full compliance with all local health regulations and corporate policies.
- Manage inventory levels efficiently by placing supply orders, tracking usage, and optimizing costs, all while ensuring the availability of top-quality ingredients and restaurant supplies.
- Implement and enforce operational procedures and policies to maximize efficiency, productivity, and guest satisfaction, including effective table turnover and timely preparation of menu items.
- Proactively monitor guest feedback, address any customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, and consistently strive to exceed guest expectations.
- Work with the General Manager to analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary to achieve business objectives.
- Previous experience in an Assistant General Manager (AGM) role within the casual dining or full-service restaurant industry.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a proven track record of motivating and managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to providing memorable dining experiences for every guest.
- Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage preparation, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive results and achieve business targets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with guests, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with restaurant management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.
