Assembly Technician positions are available for motivated individuals seeking hands-on work in a dynamic retail environment. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in assembling a variety of high-demand products directly inside major retail stores, ensuring that products are safe, well-built, and display-ready for customers. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who take pride in their work and thrive in fast-paced settings.
M&C, recognized as a leader in in-store product assembly, offers Assembly Technician roles where you will assemble items such as BBQ grills, lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture, wheelbarrows, storage sheds, bikes, and other large retail products. Your reliable and efficient workmanship will help maintain the reputation of quality and professionalism that customers expect from the assembled products in national retail stores.
Assembly Technicians benefit from a flexible, self-managed schedule. You will be able to block your own availability, giving you control over the days and hours you work. This position rewards technicians who demonstrate a strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliable attendance. Fast, accurate, and quality-focused assembly work will lead to priority access to more jobs and higher-volume assignments. Weekly pay and automated performance-based increases further incentivize high-performing Assembly Technicians.
To excel as an Assembly Technician, you must be at least 18 years old, physically capable of lifting and handling items weighing over 50 pounds repeatedly, and have reliable personal transportation. You will need a smartphone with a functioning camera for documenting your work, scanning items, and invoicing through the company's app. Additionally, you are required to use your own tools, including an 18V cordless impact driver or drill (strongly preferred), deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, an adjustable wrench, a box cutter or utility knife, and a rubber mallet. These are essential for successful completion of assembly tasks.
Assembly Technicians are rewarded for their reliability, punctuality, and the quality of their work. On-time check-ins result in higher commission rates, while consistently high-quality, speedy assembly leads to more assignments and increased earning potential. This role operates on a piece-rate basis, meaning the more products you efficiently and correctly assemble, the more you can earn—top performers can reach substantial weekly earnings with no cap on commission.
No formal experience is required to apply for the Assembly Technician position, though candidates must be mechanically inclined and ready to work diligently. The role is open to serious applicants who are eager to contribute to a positive customer experience by ensuring that assembled products meet high standards of safety and function.
