Assembly Technicians are responsible for building a range of merchandise on-site, including BBQ grills, lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture, wheelbarrows, storage sheds, bicycles, and other large-item retail products. This role is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on work, are motivated to exceed expectations, and can deliver consistent, high-quality results while working independently. The more efficiently and accurately you assemble, the more you can earn, thanks to a piece-rate pay structure that rewards productivity, reliability, and attention to detail.
Working as an Assembly Technician means you have the flexibility to set your own schedule and the freedom to control your daily workload. With weekly pay and a progressive commission structure, your earning potential is directly tied to your performance and commitment. Technicians who demonstrate reliability and punctuality gain priority access to more assignments and have opportunities to work in higher-volume retail stores. The work environment is ever-changing, with new assembly projects each day, ensuring that no two days are the same. This variety keeps the work engaging and challenging for those who thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
To be successful as an Assembly Technician, you must meet a set of clear requirements. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and physically capable of lifting items weighing 50 pounds or more on a recurring basis. Reliable personal transportation is essential for commuting to various retail locations. You will need a smartphone equipped with a working camera for documentation, photo submissions, and use of company mobile applications for scanning and invoicing. Personal hand tools are also a requirement, including an 18V cordless impact driver or drill (highly preferred), deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, an adjustable wrench, a box cutter/utility knife, and a rubber mallet. These tools ensure efficient and quality assembly on-site.
The company rewards punctuality, reliability, and quality workmanship. Assembly Technicians who consistently check in on time and complete projects with speed and accuracy receive higher commission rates and increased access to prime assignments. Performance-based percentage increases are automated within the pay structure: checking in at the job site on time, completing higher volumes of units, and maintaining a high standard of work quality all contribute to increased earnings.
