Join the growing field as an Assembly Technician, a vital role for those who enjoy hands-on work and the satisfaction of building products used by millions. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial part in assembling high-demand retail products directly inside major retail environments. This position is designed for individuals who are mechanically inclined, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship. If you are someone who enjoys variety, independence, and the opportunity to maximize your earnings through performance, this career path is an excellent fit for you.

Assembly Technicians are responsible for constructing a wide range of large-item merchandise such as BBQ grills, lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture, wheelbarrows, storage sheds, and bicycles. The role requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions accurately. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment, assembling products that customers rely on for their homes and outdoor spaces.

Working as an Assembly Technician also means having control over your work schedule. With self-scheduling options, you can systematically block out your availability, allowing you to balance work with personal commitments. The earning potential is significant, as compensation is performance-based, with no caps on how much you can make. Top performers enjoy increased pay rates and priority access to more assignments and higher-volume retail locations.

To succeed as an Assembly Technician, you must be at least 18 years old and physically capable of lifting and handling large items repeatedly throughout your shift. Reliable personal transportation is necessary, as you will be moving between multiple retail sites. A smartphone is required for scanning, invoicing, and documenting completed work via the company’s mobile app. Technicians must also own a set of tools, including an 18V cordless impact driver or drill, deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, an adjustable wrench, a box cutter or utility knife, and a rubber mallet.

The company values punctuality, reliability, and quality workmanship. On-time check-ins, consistent attendance, and the ability to assemble products quickly and correctly are highly rewarded. Compensation is directly tied to the number of pieces built, and technicians demonstrating these traits receive priority for more assignments and higher commission rates. While no formal experience is required, a mechanical aptitude and willingness to work are essential for success in this role.
