If you are skilled with your hands, enjoy building things, and are looking for a rewarding position with flexible scheduling, the Assembly Technician role could be the perfect fit for you. As an Assembly Technician, you will work on-site at major retail locations, assembling a variety of high-demand products. This includes items such as BBQ grills, lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture, wheelbarrows, outdoor storage sheds, bicycles, and other large-scale merchandise. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking a performance-based role where your efficiency and quality workmanship are directly tied to your earning potential.
Assembly Technicians have the unique opportunity to control their work schedules by blocking off their own availability and selecting assignments that fit their preferences. This flexibility makes it an attractive option for those who value autonomy in their workday. The position is open to individuals who are reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented, with a strong mechanical aptitude. No formal experience is required, but you must be comfortable assembling large products, working independently, and ensuring that all builds meet safety and quality standards.
Top-performing Assembly Technicians are rewarded not only with higher pay per completed piece but also with priority access to more job assignments and higher-volume retail locations. The system is designed to recognize and reward technicians who consistently show up on time, complete assignments efficiently, and deliver high-quality results. Weekly pay and automated performance-based percentage increases provide further incentive for those committed to excellence in assembly work. This role is ideal for contractors who take pride in their workmanship and are motivated to maximize their earnings by building efficiently and accurately.
To be successful as an Assembly Technician, you must meet the following requirements: be at least 18 years old, have the physical ability to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds, possess reliable personal transportation, and own a smartphone with a working camera for photographing builds and managing assignments via a specialized app. You will also need your own set of tools, including an 18V cordless impact driver or drill, deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, an adjustable wrench, box cutter or utility knife, and a rubber mallet.
Working as an Assembly Technician offers the added benefit of variety, as each day brings new assignments and challenges. You will work in familiar retail settings, assembling different types of products, ensuring no two jobs are ever the same. This role is best suited to individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are motivated by performance-based rewards. Punctuality and reliability are highly valued, as timely check-ins and consistent attendance contribute to increased commission rates and more lucrative assignments. In this position, you will be compensated based on the number of pieces you assemble, allowing you to take control of your income through your work ethic and skill.
