If you are motivated, mechanically inclined, and looking for a hands-on opportunity, consider joining M&C as an Assembly Technician. As the largest in-store assembly company in the nation, M&C specializes in assembling high-demand retail products directly inside major retail stores. This Assembly Technician role offers a unique chance to leverage your skills for competitive pay while enjoying flexibility and variety in your daily work routine.
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling a wide range of products, including BBQ grills, lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture sets, wheelbarrows, outdoor storage sheds, bikes, and other large-item builds. Your ability to efficiently and accurately assemble these items will directly impact your earning potential, as your compensation increases with your performance. Top performers regularly achieve pay rates well above the average, and there is no cap on your potential earnings. M&C values dedication, punctuality, and quality workmanship, offering you opportunities to take on more assignments and work with higher-volume locations as you demonstrate your reliability and skill.
This position is ideal for independent contractors seeking flexibility. As an Assembly Technician, you have full control over your work schedule. M&C's self-scheduling system allows you to block off your availability, empowering you to decide when and how often you work. This flexibility is complemented by weekly pay and automated incentives, including percentage increases for on-time check-ins, high-volume assembly, and consistently high performance. Reliable, quality-focused Assembly Technicians are rewarded with priority access to the best assignments and stores.
To succeed as an Assembly Technician, you must meet all the required qualifications. You must be at least 18 years old and physically capable of lifting items weighing 50 pounds or more, repeatedly, throughout your shift. Personal transportation is necessary to travel to and between job sites. Additionally, you must have a smartphone with a working camera for documentation, scanning, and invoicing through M&C’s proprietary app. Bringing your own tools is essential, with a strong preference for an 18V cordless impact driver or drill. Other required tools include deep metric sockets, Allen and hex bit sets, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, an adjustable wrench, a box cutter or utility knife, and a rubber mallet.
M&C rewards punctuality, reliability, and skill. Assembly Technicians who consistently arrive on time, avoid no-shows, and deliver quality workmanship are compensated with higher commission rates and more frequent assignments. The pay structure is piece-rate, meaning you are compensated for each item you assemble, allowing you to maximize your income by working efficiently and accurately. There is no requirement for formal experience, but successful candidates must be mechanically inclined and ready to take on the physical and mental demands of assembly work in a retail environment.
