Assembly Technician - Summary- Assemble a wide variety of retail products inside major stores
- Operate as an independent contractor with a flexible, self-scheduled work structure
- Earn pay based on performance and completed assemblies, with no earning cap
- Be rewarded for reliability, punctuality, and quality workmanship
- Efficiently assemble products such as BBQ grills, patio furniture, outdoor equipment, bikes, and large-item builds inside retail locations
- Follow assembly instructions with precision to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Utilize personal hand and power tools, including an 18V cordless impact driver or drill, socket sets, Allen/hex bit sets, pliers, screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, box cutter, and rubber mallet
- Document completed work using a smartphone app for photos, scanning, and invoicing
- Demonstrate excellent time management by checking in on time and maximizing efficiency throughout each shift
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while working on-site
- Abide by all safety regulations and company policies during assembly tasks
- Competitive pay structure with average earnings around $20/hr, and top performers achieving up to $60/hr equivalent
- Weekly pay cycles for prompt compensation
- Automated percentage increases in pay based on punctuality, volume of units completed, and overall reliability

- Work close to home with consistent opportunities in familiar retail environments
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering items weighing 50 pounds or more repeatedly
- Reliable personal transportation to travel between store locations
- Active smartphone with a working camera for job documentation and invoicing
- Ownership of necessary tools for assembly (see Duties & Responsibilities for tool list)
- Mechanically inclined with a strong ability to follow instructions and troubleshoot assembly issues
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Thrives in a fast-paced, independent work environment with changing daily assignments
- Possesses excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work
- Adaptable and ready to tackle new types of assembly projects with minimal supervision
- Enjoys working with tools and assembling complex products
- No prior formal assembly experience required, but mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are essential
