Duties & Responsibilities- Efficiently assemble a variety of retail products, including but not limited to grills, BBQs, lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture, wheelbarrows, storage sheds, and bicycles, on-site at major retail stores.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and manufacturer guidelines to ensure each product meets quality and safety standards.
- Use personal hand and power tools, such as cordless impact drivers or drills, screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, utility knives, and pliers to complete each build accurately.
- Communicate professionally with store staff and customers as needed to coordinate assembly work and resolve any product issues.
- Document completed assemblies using a smartphone (photos, scanning, and invoicing via company app).
- Maintain a high standard of punctuality and reliability, checking in on time for each scheduled assignment.
- Manage your schedule proactively using the self-scheduling system, blocking your availability and selecting jobs that fit your preferred hours.
- Consistently deliver high-quality workmanship and adhere to company and store safety protocols.
- Uphold M&C Assemblies' reputation for efficient, accurate, and timely assembly of merchandise.
- Receive assignments and feedback through digital platforms, ensuring all documentation and reporting requirements are met.
- Competitive pay with an average earning potential of $20 per hour; top performers can earn the equivalent of $60 per hour or more, with no cap on earnings.
- Weekly pay through direct deposit.
- Performance-based pay increases, including higher commission rates for punctuality, number of units completed, and high-volume assembly.
- Priority access to more assignments and higher-volume stores for reliable, quality-focused technicians.
- Work close to home in familiar retail environments, enjoying daily variety and new challenges.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physically able to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds or more repeatedly.
- Reliable personal transportation to job sites.
- Smartphone with a working camera for documentation and use of company applications.
- Ownership of basic hand and power tools, including an 18V cordless impact driver or drill (strongly preferred), deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, box cutter, and rubber mallet.
- Mechanical aptitude and a readiness to perform hands-on assembly work.
- Mechanically inclined with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently within a structured process.
- Strong time management skills, with a track record of punctuality and reliability.
- Adaptable and eager to take on a variety of assembly projects in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset when interacting with store personnel and team members.
- Willing to use digital tools and apps for reporting and documentation.
- No formal experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training is provided for candidates who demonstrate mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.
