As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by assembling merchandise directly within retail stores. This role provides flexibility, autonomy, and the potential for high earnings based on your productivity and performance.
This is a contractor position that rewards efficiency, accuracy, and a strong work ethic. Assembly Technicians use their own tools and are compensated based on the number of units assembled. The more efficiently you work, the more you can earn—top performers can reach significantly higher earnings with no cap. You will have the opportunity to self-schedule, giving you control over your availability and working hours. Technicians are expected to assemble a variety of large-item retail products, including but not limited to:
- Grills and BBQ equipment
- Lawn mowers and outdoor power tools
- Patio furniture sets
- Wheelbarrows and outdoor storage solutions
- Bicycles and other large recreational items
Assembly Technicians are provided with weekly pay via direct deposit, and have access to automated performance-based pay increases. Reliable and high-performing technicians receive priority scheduling for additional jobs and access to higher-volume retail locations. This role is well-suited for individuals who value independent work, are reliable, and can maintain a high standard of quality workmanship.
To succeed in this role, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, physically capable of lifting items weighing over 50 pounds repeatedly, and possess reliable personal transportation. A smartphone with camera functionality is required for job-related documentation, including photos, scanning, and invoicing through the company application. Candidates must also supply their own basic tools, such as a cordless impact driver or drill, metric socket sets, screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, box cutters, and other assembly tools.
M&C Assemblies is committed to rewarding punctuality, reliability, and quality work. Technicians who consistently check in on time, complete assignments accurately and efficiently, and maintain a strong attendance record are eligible for higher commission rates and more frequent job assignments. No formal experience is required, but mechanical aptitude and a readiness to work are essential for success in this position.
