Assembly Technician - Summary
The Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that retail products are assembled safely and correctly for customer use. Working in various retail stores, you will handle the assembly of items such as grills, outdoor power equipment, patio furniture sets, wheelbarrows, storage sheds, bikes, and similar large merchandise. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble a variety of retail products including grills, lawn mowers, patio furniture, bikes, and outdoor storage solutions on-site in retail stores.
- Review assembly instructions and manufacturer guidelines to ensure accurate and safe builds.
- Utilize personal tools and equipment, such as cordless impact drivers, deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit sets, and more, to complete assemblies efficiently.
- Document completed work using a smartphone app for photos, scanning, and invoicing.
- Meet or exceed performance benchmarks for speed, accuracy, and quality workmanship.
- Maintain punctuality by checking in on time at job sites, leading to higher commission rates and greater assignment opportunities.
- Demonstrate reliability by consistently attending scheduled assignments and maintaining a high standard of work.
- Follow company and store safety protocols at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by representing M&C Assemblies professionally within retail environments.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs or more and perform physically demanding assembly tasks.
- Reliable personal transportation to travel between store locations.
- Smartphone with a functioning camera for documentation and communication via the company app.
- Ownership of necessary assembly tools, including but not limited to:
- 18V cordless impact driver or drill (strongly preferred)
- Deep metric sockets
- Allen/hex bit set
- Cutting pliers
- Multiple screwdrivers
- Adjustable wrench
- Box cutter/utility knife
- Rubber mallet
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new assembly techniques.
