Assembly Technician - Summary- Perform on-site assembly of consumer products such as grills, lawn mowers, patio furniture, and more in retail settings
- Operate as an independent contractor, managing your own schedule and assignments
- Earn compensation based on the quantity and quality of assembled products, with no cap on earning potential
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a variety of assembly tasks
- Use your own tools and transportation to complete assignments efficiently
- Assemble a wide range of retail products including but not limited to grills, lawn mowers, patio furniture, outdoor storage sheds, bikes, and wheelbarrows
- Follow product manuals and assembly instructions to ensure safe and accurate assembly
- Use hand and power tools such as cordless impact driver or drill, sockets, Allen/hex bit sets, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, utility knives, and rubber mallets
- Complete assignments efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety
- Document completed work using a smartphone app for photos, scanning, and invoicing
- Prioritize punctuality and reliability by checking in on time at each job site
- Adapt to different assembly projects and store environments, ensuring consistent output and customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with store personnel as needed to coordinate assembly work

- Ownership of required hand and power tools, including a cordless impact driver or drill, deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, box cutter/utility knife, and rubber mallet
- Highly reliable and punctual, with a proven record of consistent attendance
- Mechanically adept, with experience in assembly, construction, or similar hands-on work (formal experience not required)
- Self-motivated and able to manage time and assignments independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Comfortable using technology for job tracking, documentation, and invoicing
